Finnish-Russo War to be explored through a personal, family story this Saturday!

This Saturday, August 24 at 10am, Liisa Hale will tell the story of her family in Finland during WWII. Her father served in the Finnish Army as a battalion commander in the Finnish-Russo war and subsequent conflicts. Her father was captured by the Russians, but escaped to Sweden and eventually the US, where he joined the Army. Liisa and her mother and sisters, after several attempts, escaped to Sweden and
were reunited with her father in 1948.
