City and County of Broomfield Memorial Day – Ceremony and Picnic

An annual event hosted by the Broomfield Veterans Memorial Museum and held at Broomfield County Commons Park from 11am-1pm on Memorial Day. Join us at the Broomfield County Commons pavilion to see displays from the Broomfield Veterans Memorial Museum, local music, and food for sale from the Broomfield Lions Club.
Broomfield Days Open House
Yearly in September. Come watch the parade and then visit the museum for refreshments and special displays! We look forward to seeing you!
Veterans Day Ceremony

This annual ceremony honors and celebrates the service of past veterans and current military personnel with speeches, song, and tributes. This year, the Veterans Day Ceremony will be held in the City of Broomfield at the Veterans Museum and will start at 11am. The event is an honored tradition which is attended by several hundred residents and visitors. Featured keynote speaker is Col. (Marine retired) Don Davis. Davis is Broomfield’s Deputy City Manager.
Flag Day Retirement Ceremony, June 10, 2023
This ceremony, held in conjunction with the North Metro Fire Rescue District, retires flags from the community which have been dropped off to the museum and fire department. An official ceremony according to military tradition is held, and flags are retired with the assistance of museum staff, community members, and firefighters. A hot dog picnic will also be provided.
If you have a flag to be retired, please feel free to drop it off at the museum or watch for official collection times in the Broomfield Enterprise one month in advance of the ceremony. Program and hot dog meal will be at noon at the Museum.
